- The Spirit is the new entry-level model among Cardo intercoms. The basis, in other words, and nothing but the basis. It is broad enough to charm the ‘normal’ motorcyclist, for all intents and purposes: you communicate with your passenger without any problems. Should you forget your passenger somewhere, he or she can call you back some four hundred meters, although this last function is particularly useful when you are travelling together with another motorcyclist.Furthermore: hearing GPS instructions and taking a phone call are no problem. The 32mm base speakers aren’t musical toppers, so there’s no radio. You can always listen via your smartphone. Its bigger HD brother is equipped with excellent speakers though, and will be more appealing to the lover of musical highlights.
The newest communication line of Cardo is one that can be updated without USB cable or laptop. This Spirit pretty much keeps itself updated and uses the Cardo Connect app to do so. And Bluetooth, but you have needed that by default in the intercom world for some time. The new update capabilities get the winged name ‘over the air software update’.
